Open Shoots provide the perfect balance of structured practice and community time, allowing students to fine-tune skills, maintain proficiency between courses, and enjoy a purposeful day on the range with fellow members of the Grey community.
Details:
Open Shoot Pistol is available to existing students who have successfully completed Pistol 2 or higher. This is not a formal instructional class. Instead, it provides dedicated range time for students to run a preset lineup of drills focused on high repetition and skill refinement.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice live fire, reinforce core mechanics, and elevate speed, accuracy, and overall proficiency in a safe, structured environment under the supervision of Grey Range Safety Officers (RSOs). For those looking to push further, optional friendly competition will be available, allowing students to challenge themselves against time standards or measure performance alongside fellow students for bragging rights.
Logistics
- Open to existing students who have completed Pistol 2 or higher
- Come and go at your convenience; no set arrival or departure time

$100 registration fee plus a $25 range fee (total cost: $125)
- Range fee payable at the front office
- After check-in, staff will provide directions to the assigned bay
What to Bring:
- As much ammunition as you desire to shoot
- Semi-automatic pistol
- Strong-side holster that covers the trigger with the appropriate belt
- Belt mounted mag carrier
- Eye & Ear Protection
- PPE – Gloves knee/elbow pads, if desired
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen, pants, closed toes athletic shoes/boots, hat, long sleeves, if desired
- Food (Snacks + Meal) & Plenty of Liquids

- Applicable steel/paper targets, barricades, or obstacles as required by the course

Cancelation Policy:
Please verify your availability before booking. Should you be unable to attend, contact customer service at info@greydefense.com no less than 5 business days before your class date.
You may reschedule or transfer your credit to another class/date. A cancelation or reschedule less than (5) business days before your class will forfeit your fee. As class fees reserve your instructor’s time for the class date, no refunds will be provided for cancelations.
