Course Description:
In this class you will learn about the practical use of a shotgun and how to use a shotgun defensively. This is the first class in a three-class series (Defensive Shotgun 1, Defensive Shotgun 2, & Tactical Shotgun). Class curriculums will build upon the previous.
What You’ll Learn:

- Shotgun action types and components
- Ammunition types and applications
- Shooting Fundamentals
- Zeroing
- Reloading techniques
- Multiple threat engagement
- Close quarter maneuvering considerations (this is not a CQC class)
How it Works:
Upon submitting your order, your spot will be reserved in the class on the selected date. You will then receive an email on the week leading up to your class date with full details on range attire, items to bring, and where/when to meet.
What to Bring:
- Shotgun of any action type
- Side mounted shell caddy (or alternate means for immediate reloading)
- Ammo (match gauge & shell length to your shotgun)
- 25 Shotgun Slugs
- 25 Rounds Buckshot
- 100 Rounds Birdshot
- Eye & ear protection
- Not required, but recommended:
- Sling already affixed to the shotgun
- Multiple replacement caddies (if using Velcro Esstac option)
- Supporting hand glove
- Knee pads or elbow pads, if desired
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Sunscreen, pants, closed toes athletic shoes/boots, hat, long sleeves, if desired
- Food (Snacks + Meal) & Plenty of Liquids
- Notepad and paper
- Prescribed allergic reaction medical treatments (inform your instructor prior to class)

Rescheduling:
Our instructors are secured in advance from their military, LE, or private careers once a class quorum is reached. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to attend for the elected class date when booking. Should a reschedule be required due to extenuating circumstances, notice must be submitted 5 days prior to the class date. Failing to reschedule at least 5 days in advance will forfeit your right to reschedule or to a refund.
Cancelation Policy:
A refund may be provided for the course, less $50.00, if the cancelation is submitted as least
5 days prior to the course date. Cancelations within 5 days leading up to class are not eligible for a refund. Failure to show will result in a forfeiture of your class.
