Instructor Jim:

Jim grew up in the mountains of Southern California. In 2006 he joined the United States Navy and graduated from Search and Rescue swimmer (SAR) school. His military career took him through Master at Arms A school (military police) and on to Riverine Squadron 1 (Brown Water Navy). A graduate of Various small arms and crew served weapons courses, Tactical combat casualty care (TCCC/Live Tissue), Expeditionary Combat School, and a yearlong pipeline of Riverine combat skills courses to include Designated Marksman school, and became valued member of a Riverine Maritime interdiction operations team. Jim conducted countless missions as a designated marksman (DM) and grenadier in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Iraq New Dawn. After tours in Iraq and parts of the Indian Ocean, Jim left the Navy in 2012 and began a career in Executive protection.

 

 

Instructor Colby:

Colby grew up in Ventura County, California. In 2013, he graduated from Westmont College with a BA in Business & Economics and proceeded to start a career in private security consulting for commercial and government entities. After 5 years of excelling as a subject matter expert in security consulting services, Colby shifted his career focus to the executive protection field, where he provided protective\ security services for some of the world’s most at-risk individuals. Colby has long been engaged in the firearms community and private firearms training for civilians with a particular focus on concealed carry, pistol, and carbine. Presently, Colby pursues his passions in educating the community on safe firearms practices and advanced training classes for both civilians and various other clientele. Colby is a Range Safety Officer and recognized firearms instructor by both the DOJ and NRA. His story boasts the success of dedicated private civilian training and how everyday people can develop an acute situationally aware mindset, advanced proficiency in firearms, and target engagement tactics.

 

Instructor Joe:

Joe grew up in a military family in southern California and enlisted in the United States Navy for active duty in 2012. He went on to graduate from Recruit Training Command, Gunner’s Mate “A” School and Expeditionary Combat School.

After training, he was assigned to his first Battalion and stationed in NCBC Gulfport, MS. He served in Air Detachment’s Convoy Security Element and as Battalion Armory Lead. While deployed, Joe was tasked to assist in weapons qualification training for the unit, where his performance unveiled he had an aptness for instructing.

In 2014, following transfer to his next Battalion and in recognition of his performance, Joe was selected to attend Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (SAMI) Course. After graduation, he proceeded to increase his unit’s firearms training tempo throughout garrison and multiple deployments, enhancing his command’s tactical posture throughout the EUCOM, AFRICOM, CENTCOM and PACOM area of responsibility.

In 2017, Joe was assigned to a Tactics Training Division at NBVC Port Hueneme, CA. During transfer he attended and completed Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) and Expeditionary Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor (ESAMI) Course. He soon became Head Instructor and Primary Range Safety Officer of CBC Rifle Range where he developed, supervised, and conducted performance-based combat and tactics training for over 8,100 service members across all military branches in direct support of contingency operations around the world.

After being Honorably Discharged, Joe continues to follow his passion by training those with a desire to learn. Focusing on effective techniques, combat mindset, and habitual performance.
